Education and Training:
Dr. Vassar completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa designation, an honor society that recognizes academic excellence. She then went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma, where she gained a solid foundation in general medicine. She then pursued specialized training in psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma- Tulsa for 4 years. At OU- Tulsa she developed her skills in diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders with medications and therapy. After completion of her psychiatry residency, she became a board certified psychiatrist and maintains this distinction. For 11 years, she worked at Laureate Psychiatric Hospital and Clinic providing adult general outpatient services. She also worked in the eating disorders program providing inpatient weekend coverage and outpatient services. With a strong academic background and a passion for helping others, Dr. Vassar brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.
